Given below are the steps involved in starting a limousine business in Dubai:
- Obtain approval for your trade name from the DET. The trade name must be unique and must be registered with the DET.
- Gather all the documents requested by the DET.
- The RTA must approve the documents submitted. It should comply with RTA’s guidelines; additionally, you will be required to submit financial and operational plans.
- You must undergo mandatory training before acquiring your license. The RTA will give you a temporary license valid during the training period. Once the training period is over, you must undergo physical and theoretical tests conducted by the RTA.
- For successful license approval, you must pass both physical and theoretical tests.
- Notarize MoA
- The DET will issue you an establishment card. This is required to register employees with the Ministry of Labor.
- Once you have successfully acquired your business license, you must register your cars and drivers with the RTA.
The following are the requirements to start a limousine business in Dubai, UAE:
- To successfully obtain your limousine license, you must have an office space of 225 sq. ft. This must be the space from which you conduct your business activities.
- Obtain approvals from the RTA and submit your business plan. Include financial and operational management and risk evaluations following the requirements specified by the RTA.
- You must show proof of funds of at least AED 5 million during the registration process so that the DET or RTA is convinced you have the means to set up this business.
- Own a fleet of at least 30 vehicles to keep up with the demand for limousine services.
- Once the business license has been issued, the owners or shareholders of the company should sign an agreement with the RTA. This agreement includes the terms and conditions for operating a limousine business in Dubai.
