- To obtain a logistics business license in Dubai, start by deciding on the name of the business.
- There are two different business locations that firms can choose from: the mainland or the free zone.
- The relevant documents need to be submitted to the Department of Economic Development of Dubai in case you have opted for mainland and free zone authorities if you are choosing free zones for the setting up of the business.
The license permits the entrepreneur to carry on with the different activities, which are:
- Customs brokers: They help prepare customs declarations that need to be submitted to the customs authorities.
- Freight brokers: Freight and brokerage matters are handled by air, sea, and cargo.
- Cargo Transportation: Cargo will help in packing and handling the stock that needs to be transported.
- Leasing: You are permitted to lease out vessels, containers, and other equipment.
- Fleet Management: Businesses that manage the ships, trucks, trains, etc.
- Warehouse and Storage: Storing stock and cargo that is meant to be transported will be kept safe at the warehouse and prepared for transport.
- An Emirates ID copy
- Memorandum of association
- Copy of Passports
- Local sponsor’s passport copy if setting up a business on the Dubai mainland.
