- Utility and services setup. Arrange utilities, communications, and other operational services.
The following are the basic requirements to set up a business in the Expo City Free Zone:
- Get a commercial, service, or e-commerce license.
- Choose your business structure—company, branch, or freelance.
- Some businesses require minimum capital investment.
- Businesses must follow Expo City Dubai Authority (ECDA) licensing and operational rules.
- Hire and manage staff according to UAE labor rules.
- Take advantage of company tax breaks and no personal income tax.
- Maintain compliance by renewing licenses and permissions annually.
- Meet Expo City's environmental standards.
The following documents are required to set up a business in Expo City Free Zone:
- Application for ECDA Business Setup
- An optional signed ECD lease offer letter and the following papers are submitted to ECDA for initial approval.
- Director, manager, and shareholder passport copies
- If needed, UAE visa copies of licensed parties
- Emirates ID copies (if needed)
- Investors and directors must provide recent utility bills or other proof of residence.
- Provide a detailed outline of your business actions and goals.
- The Articles of Association (AOA) describe the company's structure and operations.
- UAE employees may need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their company.
- You will need to provide a bank letter verifying your finances.
- The lease agreement is for a Free Zone office or retail space.
